If you work in UX, product, service, or information design; data visualization; or user research — or if you simply care about how design shapes understanding — then this event is for you!
100 years ago in Vienna, Marie and Otto Neurath, along with Gerd Arntz, created the International System of Typographic Picture Education (ISOTYPE), a design system that transforms data into understanding. This was long before UX even existed.
In a world of uncertainty, how can designers chart a path forward? This talk explores future scenario design through the lens of the futures cone and speculative design. We’ll discuss how design can be used as a tool to navigate complex, ambiguous futures and how designers can apply these approaches not only to projects, but also to their own evolving roles.
From Static Mocks to Smart Prototypes: How AI is Changing the Design Workflow
by Anna Arteeva, Product Design Leader | AI educator
AI is transforming not just the tools we use, but the way we design altogether. As code becomes accessible and cheap, design and building are becoming tightly knit. This talk explores how designers can embrace vibe-coding, moving beyond static mock-ups to building real interactive experiences.
That Product Discovery is a crucial part of building successful products is no longer news to Product Managers or Designers. However, it is not always easy to get started with it, especially if you don’t have a research background and it’s not already a habit in your company. What can you do then? In my talk, I’ll share some practical tips to set up and carry out discovery activities that allow you to make the most of it.
Built-In, Not Bolt-On: Making Accessibility Foundational in UX and UI
Accessibility isn’t a nice-to-have—it’s a design superpower. In this talk, you’ll see how thinking about accessibility from day one transforms the way we create digital products. Through hands-on examples from real projects, we’ll explore how inclusive practices can seamlessly flow into ideation, UX, and UI design. The takeaway: accessibility done early not only makes products more usable for everyone, it makes the design process smoother and the results more impactful.
Let’s shape UX Vienna @ uxcon vienna
Interactive session with Emanuel Jochum, Freelance Experience Designer

It’s a chance to bring in your ideas, share perspectives, and help shape how our community shows up at Europe’s friendliest UX conference. In this session, we’ll do rapid ideation in small groups (no worries: it’s voluntary), then share and cluster ideas, and finish with a quick dot-voting.
Against best practices: Real examples of unconventional UX approaches
Delfina Hoxha, Founder and Lead Content Designer at Little Language Models
As designers, we often rely on best practices. They save time and help us prioritize our efforts—but is there a limit to their usefulness? In this talk, Delfina dissects common design best practices and shares her own unconventional UX decisions that worked in real-world scenarios.
